Here at Laura Jean, we are always happily selling AG Jeans! One of the top brands in the premium denim industry, it's no surprise that it is always our top seller.
AG is a premium denim brand that was founded in 2000 and is based in Los Angeles, California. One thing that makes AG one of our favorite premium denim brands is that every step of the denim making process takes place in their mill in LA all while being extremely eco-friendly. The jeans are designed, cut, sewn and finished all in their production factory.
AG is widely known and loved for their soft, broken in fabrics and vintage inspired washes and finishes. Along with high end department stores and other elite retailers, AG is proudly sold right here in Newport at Laura Jean Denim!
Here is a look at our favorite styles!
The Prima and The Stilt
The Prima and The Stilt are both a cigarette leg jean from AG. These are super flattering, ankle length skinny jeans-- which is probably why they are consistently the top selling jeans we have!
The difference between them? The Prima is a mid-rise denim with a 9" rise, and the Stilt sits about 1.5" lower on the waist. Whichever your preference, the Prima and Stilt are classic skinny jeans that are sure to be your to-go jeans all year!
The Legging and The Legging Ankle
The Legging and Legging Ankle are both great options if you are looking for legging jeans. They both have a standard rise at 7.5", a slim leg and ankle hugging leg openings.
The difference between these two is the Legging Ankle is 3" shorter than the Legging. This works out if you are petite and looking for a jean that isn't too long on you, or if you have longer legs and are looking for a good cropped option!
The Harper
The Harper is AG's "essential straight" jean. This a jean that will flatter just about anyone. It is a mid-rise jean with a long and slim 33" inseam. The leg opening is in between a skinny and a boot cut and instantly elongates and lengthens your body. What's not to love?
The Angel
The Angel from AG is a our top selling boot cut jean! Boot cut jeans are timeless and perfect for so many different personalities and styles. The Angel is a flattering mid-rise and is fitted through the hips and thighs. The boot cut opening is a modest flare, so if you like the idea of flare jeans but want something less dramatic, the Angel is perfect for you!
The Jodi
The Jodi is AG's new high rise slim flare jean. These are the perfect gradual step back into wide leg world! The higher rise flatters all body types and prevents the dreaded muffin top. The slim flare is has a one inch larger leg opening than the Angel bootcut. The wash is gorgeous for a night out!The Beau
The Beau is a slouchy skinny jean from AG, and it is wonderful. Not too baggy like some boyfriend jeans, and not too fitted like a skinny jean. This is a great jean if you want a boyfriend jean but don't want something too loose. The slimmer silhouette makes the Beau super comfortable while looking feminine and tailored. These are sure to be your new favorites!

I have two prima jeans, a black and bronze, but the material seems to be very different. Are there differences within the prima style and, if so, does the material in the black come in other colors?
Hi Lindsay,
I did some research and don’t see a difference in any measurements except the length,
Rise: 8.25
Knee: 12.5
Bottom: 10
Inseam: varies whether it is ankle, full length, cropped, etc.
I’m not sure why they change the description from super skinny to just skinny as I cannot find any difference. What will make a difference is the fabrication and how much stretch there is. That’s why we cannot get away from trying every single pair on and not assume that they are all the same.
Hope this helps,
Nancy
What is the size Difference between the super skinny legging and the skinny legging by AG? I have a pair of 26 regular super skinny leggings that I love. But online I can only find the skinny leggings and wondering if I should go down a size?
Thanks for the overview- really really helpful! I am about to buy the Harper in 26 online from AG’s site and did a Google search on the difference between the Stilt and the Harper. If you carry them I can buy from your shop. I can look up the name of the wash, but it is the classic blue (I think same as pictured above)
Thank you ,
